how it started
Two friends decide to start a company, the rest is history.
PROCIT founders Bas and Michiel meet in high school and mean serious business ever since. They’re entrepreneurs at heart and in 1999 they start PROCIT, an IT company. Completely ahead of the curve they implement a hybrid office structure with teleworking.
The plan is simple: there’s plenty of people across the Netherlands that need decent, solid software without elaborate corporate structures that overcomplicate things. We have people that can build it. Let’s get to work!
Colleagues work from the comfort of their own homes whilst developing the newest tech. No surprise that PROCIT wins the Dutch Teleworking Award Of The Year as early as 2002. Our legacy goes back decades.
Around the same time, in 2001, we started expanding. globally. With our Asian operations we opened offices in Nepal and India, led by Navin Siddhi. Our people have worked on really interesting projects and we’ve seen full cycles of our applications. Everywhere you look, there is a chance of spotting some PROCIT in the wild.
The world and the IT landscape has changed a lot over the years, but our core concept is still at the heart of what we do. And we still love it!

We have a specialised team with decades of experience. Some of us have been with us for literal decades (don't remind them of their age) while others have joined up more recently.
